Grays Hotel and Brasserie

Booked evening meal here on a Saturday evening for 4 people. Shown quickly to table in restaurant area and drink order taken shortly after. Could also have eaten in bar area. Slight delay in drink arrival but venue was pretty busy. Busy but not so loud that you couldn't chat easily. It's been a number of years since visited last and refurbished to very high standard. Food order taken. Food range decent and average prices (high teens to mid twenties for mains - extra sides extra money). Food delivered fairly quickly. Very tasty and good sized portions. Drinks very overpriced at 6.15 for non alcohol cider ( expected 4.50) 6.50 for Guinness ( best price 3.50 avg around 5.20 ) and about 8 for a glass of wine ( often 7 ish) . 9.25 for deserts was just too expensive and significantly overpriced and at that price, not taken.

Wonderful dining experience here. Service was excellent as were staff and quality of the food. Piping hot, freshly made with quality ingredients combined to an excellent overall experience. Beautifully clean, crisp and spotless. Much effort is taken to provide this level of hospitality. Highly recommended.

Stayed here with my wife last night (1/11/25) for our 5yr wedding anniversary. Welcomed by the loveliest receptionist (older man with dark hair) on arrival, couldn’t have been more warming. We stayed in room 18 carrick a rede, everything about it was amazing (views, toiletries, everything you needed was there). Booked restaurant had the Guinness Irish beef have never had food like it! Delicious! Service, atmosphere brilliant. We then went into Nellie’s bar, we loved the decor the type we love that country/seaside feel. We are in our 30’s youngest couple in the bar but it was so chilled and relaxing , they had a singer/guitarist whic we didn’t expect, it wasn’t my cup of tea the music drowned out the guys voice and we couldn’t hear each other talk with some songs but nice touch. Breakfast was great, little variety of continental then a lovely menu of cooked breakfast which was lovely too. I have read reviews some complaining about food, staff, rooms. Everybody’s opinions and experiences differ, only negative I had was my soda was burnt but it happens and 2 young guys in bar didn’t smile, you get that I’m a smiley person my wife doesn’t. Thank you for a really lovely stay and to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and that nothing was too much. Will definitely be back x

I loved this little boutique hotel by the causeway coast. It’s less than a 5 minute drive from the causeways and less than 5 minutes from the little town. You get an incredible view of sunset and the pastures and is very quiet and quaint. It looks very updated and the bar has a good selection of drinks. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast as well. It was also a very decent price for the location and quality. The rooms were updated and a good size with a good view. My only complaint is the lack of AC or high functioning fans to cool the room down which I know is very common. The room we had got way hotter than other areas of the hotel. But the service was amazing!

Arrived about 6.00pm on the 19.11.25. Out of session so hotel was quiet. Both dinner & breakfast was amazing. As we arrived late we had to eat in the bar (which wasn’t an issue) then went to the room after a few drinks. Very friendly & welcoming staff. Would recommend staying.

Room nice and clean but as mentioned before noise travels up from the bar and a fan that came on for most of the night. Bar staff ok but not engaging at all which is a surprise. Views of course are spectacular and in a great location. Didn’t have dinner here but breakfast was very good, we came down early as a family of 4 with 2 children and Michael was very accommodating, went out of his to make sure everything was correct and even went out of his way to fill our flask up for the day ahead (Bar staff take note of Michael’s way with the customers). Quick and easy check out

Took 5 of us in very late in the evening with no hesitation after several places rejected us saying they are “fully booked for the day” which I know is never the case because I work in hotel myself and this is just way to avoid any drunk guests trashing the place.But Grays hotel came in handy after long day of travelling and saved us from sleeping in the car.Especially want to say how thankful I am to the friendly receptionist that was on shift for being so kind and helpful to take 5 “scary” guest late in the evening!

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, and the food was absolutely amazing. We truly had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back if we visit Northern Ireland again.
